Katie Price dumps boyfriend Alex Reid
Katie Price has split up with boyfriend Alex Reid. She announced the split live on TV after quitting the reality show “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!”
Price, who walked out on the jungle after being voted by the public to face a record breaking 6 consecutive bushtucker trial by the public, told presenters Ant and Dec her relationship with the cage fighter had ended after saying she had acted like a “right twit” over the past seven months.
Price told how she was leaving the show “with my head between my toes in shame”.
She continued “I’ve done a lot of reflecting. I think it’s best I’m on my own, I just don’t want to be in a relationship. I hope we can remain friends.”
She said she had done “a lot of thinking” while she was in the jungle, adding: “I have to think of me. I have to think of my children.
“I’ve come back a new person and I’m just going to have a fresh start. It’s done me so many favours in there and, I hold my hands up, the last seven months I have acted like a right twit but that was the way I dealt with things. I’m sorry if I upset people.”
Price said the whole experience had brought back memories of her ex-husband Peter Andre, she said: “The whole place reminded me of Pete from the moment I woke up, the afternoon to the moment I went to sleep, every second it was Pete, Pete, Pete and although they were amazing, happy memories I had in there, I’d lie there and think those good memories are way gone but then I was still there with constant reminders of Pete, Pete, Pete, Pete.
“It was hard to deal with before I went in there, I thought I’ll walk in there and either break down or deal with the closure. I walked in and they (the other celebrities) all welcomed me and it was so ironic that I had the same bed as last time; nobody wanted it because the bonfire smokes over it.
“That was really, really hard to deal with because waking up in the mornings I’d wake up and look over and think Peter’s going to be there and then I’d be like, course Pete’s not going to be there, I’m not with Pete any more.”
Earlier as Alex Reid boarded his flight to Australia he told waiting reporters: ‘I’m definitely asking her to marry me.
‘One idea is I make the proposal in front of the cameras on the show. But whatever happens I know this is right. I’ve never felt this way before.’
But it seems Katie didn’t share his feelings.
Sources close to the star said Alex was booked into the five star hotel Palazzo Versace on the Australian Gold Coast, where Jordan has stayed since her departure from the show.
But on his arrival the concierge had refused to tell him which room she was in.
The source said: ‘An hour before she appeared on air Jordan summoned him and told him it was over.
‘She was fed up with him making money from her. Friends say he is devastated.’

Katie Price faced her 6th consecutive bushtucker trial today on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!
The challenge dubbed Car-lamity involved spiders bugs and gunk.
Ahead of the challenge Price said: ‘I just want to go home, I’m bored. How many more can a girl possibly do? The public have seen me with bugs, terrified, they’ve seen me cry. So today I said to camp, “It will just be like me going to the office. I’ll get there, I’ll tremble, I’ll cry, I’ll moan, do the challenge come back and then I can chill for the day and me and Jimmy we can just watch and wait for our food.”‘
But she won all but one of the possible 12 stars after an easy task, which she accepted was actually ‘quite fun’.She drove a truck to a fuel stop, where she was gunged and to a drive-through where she ate Krunchy Fried Bug and French Flies. But she refused to drink a Crocolate milkshake after tasting it.
She exclaimed: ‘Do you know its mentally torturing? I’m starting to feel a bit sick.’
Price then had to break through a roadworks sign and had to retrieve the three stars which were entangled in cobwebs and protected by spiders.
She screamed: ‘Oh that’s horrific! There’s no easy way in. I’m petrified of spiders.’
The final station was a Car Wash where she had to remove three stars while being sprayed by orange wax.

British tabloids are reporting today that cagefighter Alex Reid is set to propose to Katie Price. They claim Reid is flying to Australia so he can propose to her when she exits the jungle.

Martin Amis attacks Katie Price
Martin Amis, one of Britain’s most celebrated authors has made a blistering attack on Katie Price.
He told the literary Hay Festival in London this week: ‘She has no waist… an interesting face… but all we are really worshipping is two bags of silicone.’
He also accused Price of hypocrisy, citing her frequently repeated claim that she hates kiss and tell stories. ’But the whole thing is a kiss and tell!’ he fumed.
Amis, the author of books such as The Rachel Papers, Money and London Fields, is angry that a former glamour model turned author outsells Britain’s most respected novelists.
Price’s latest novel Sapphire is still riding high in the bestsellers list, three months after publication, while her first novel outsold the entire Booker prize shortlist.

Katie Price snubbed by military
Katie Price has been snubbed by miltary chiefs. She had offered to make a morale boosting trip to Afghanistan to entertain British troops but her offer was turned down after a formal MoD meeting which looked at all requests to head out to the warzone. Price’s offer was considered low priority. An MoD spokesman said: “Katie Price did ask to visit Afghanistan but owing to a packed schedule of visits and the second round of elections in the country, her request was turned down.”
